My Deepest, Darkest Secret (Shh!)

Alright, I've never told this to anyone... And now I'm telling the whole internet. Ah, well. I only ask one thing. Keep it to yourself, kay? If you're cool enough to read my blog, you're cool enough to know. So, I'm a self-proclaimed Harry Potter fan. I really am. Ask me anything about the books, and I'll tell you. I take pride in the fact that I have read the books over 20 times... I seriously love them. Best books ever. But here's the thing, and this is for you to know and no one else to find out. I have NEVER read the first book. Not once. I started it... read about 20 pages. It was so boring. I figure the movie was enough. This is a big deal, because ask anyone, I make Harry Potter references all the time. I'm like a mega-nerd. I'm sure many people will be like, what kind of secret is that? You probably thought I wear a wig or something. No, the hair is all-natural. But this is a pretty big deal to me, and if you've ever heard me talk Harry Potter, it'll be a big deal to you too!

Now aside from that, I'm bored. Revealing my deepest darkest secrets has made me in the mood to tell you some random facts about myself... So, I shall... Here are 50 facts you should know about me.

1) I was born in Arkansas, and no, I'm not a hillbilly and never was. Nor are any of my family. Arkansas is not a hillbilly state. Get over it!
2) My dad's from Kentucky. That's a hillbilly state. And yes, my family there are hillbillies.
3) I lived in Wales for two years. No, not WHALES for all you idiots. It's a COUNTRY.
4) Yes, my name is Dylan. Yes, I am a girl. Yes, I was named after a boy. (Dylan Thomas, the poet.)
5) I am terrified of pigeons. BEADY EYED BEASTS!
6) I HATE mayonnaise.
7) And gushers.
8) I can recite portions of Shakespeare word-for-word.
9) I watch Lord of the Rings at least once every month or two.
10) I have Star Wars light sabers, with which I enjoy frequent duels... While playing Star Wars in the background.
11) I can't stand chalk, or mechanical pencils. Looking at them makes me cringe. Don't ask me why...
12) I can recite more than 30 digits of Pi.
13) I HATE SPIDERS.
14) I have only been on one roller coaster. I hate roller coasters.
15) I want to be an author when I grow up, but just as a side job.
16) I want to be a journalist.
17) Or a scientist.
18) Or an engineer.
19) Or maybe an astronomer.
20) I don't know what the hell I want to do with my life...
21) The only colleges acceptable to my family's standards are: Harvard, Stanford, Cornell, Princeton, Dartmouth, MIT, and Brown.
22) I walk on my knees in lotus position. Heck yeah.
23) I can also do a human pretzel.
24) My favorite genre of music is techno... My favorite song is Blue by Eiffel 65. I also like foreign techno.. like Basshunter. It's like a rave all the time at my house!
25) I also love Eminem.
26) And Lady Gaga...
27) And a million other types of music...
28) I LOVE POETRY. My favorite poets are William Blake and e. e. cummings.
29) My favorite poem is The Tyger, by William Blake.
30) My favorite book, aside from Harry Potter of course, is To Kill a Mockingbird.
31) I PRETEND to enjoy classic novels like Pride and Prejudice to please my mother. In reality, it's actually a fantasy novel underneath that book cover.
32) I'm addicted to coke. (acola)
33) I've been to almost all 50 states. I'm missing three... Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota.
34) I went to Costa Rica and ziplined through the jungle @ 600 feet in the air, suspended by a thin wire for three miles.
35) I used to ski and snowboard, but now I just ski...
36) I'm a really bad swimmer. (stopped taking swim lessons after level 4)
37) I fail at (almost) all sports.
38) I was born blonde, which could account for my frequent blonde moments.
39) My favorite five foods (in no specific order) are: beef jerky, french onion soup, spring rolls, snickers bars, and fried calamari.
40) I'm kind of insane... but it's alright, because I always have a smile on my face no matter what! If you don't like it, deaaaaaal. I could care less.
41) I've been writing a novel for over a year. Writing is basically my life.. As of October, I will officially be a published writer!
42) I can't eat animal crackers without looking at the shapes..its a disease.
43) I squeak when I laugh. It's annoying as hell, but I can't stop... SORRY.
44) I watch the history channel. No joke. Olly Steeds is my HERO.
45) I love British guys... they make my world go 'round. Moving to England and seducing a Brit ASAP!
46) Orlanda Bloom is the sexiest pirate. To hell with Johnny Depp.
47) I'm addicted to Medical Dramas. (House, Grey's Anatomy...) AND GLEE.
48) My favorite smell is Spearmint. Except, this one hair product I have has this smell, and I can't figure out what it is, but it smells so good that I pretty much want to sit there smelling it forever. Is that weird? I think so...
49) My favorite ice cream is a chocolate creemie with chocolate sprinkles. YUM. My favorite ice cream shop is 2 hours away in Montpelier... I drive there sometimes, just to grab a creemie.
50) I keep a diary, under my mattress, and I record everything in poetry.
